MTB & Kayak Combo

Looking for Double the fun and a great day out! Fancy a guided kayak down a local Wanaka river followed by a scenic mountain bike ride? Our bike and kayak combo is ideal for all abilities including families and first timers! Freeride NZ and Alpine Kayak Guides have combined their forces to give you a great Wanaka experience.

The trip begins with the Alpine Kayak Guides who offer a range of white water kayaking trips on Grade 2 rivers in the Wanaka region. They will supply all the necessary equipment and instruction from qualified guides for an enjoyable day of learning and adventure.

After lunch its time to jump on the bikes with freeride NZ! Our bike trail undulates gently above the Lake Wanaka shoreline before entering remnant forest and shrub lands. The scenery on this bike trip will leave you breathless to say the least. Best of all there is a number of access points to the lake foreshore for a cool down on a hot day. These beautiful and deserted beaches make for sublime views across lake Wanaka to Mou Waho and Mou Tapu islands. The trail we use can be enjoyed by all rider abilities.
