Downhill Picnic
Don't fancy fast and technical descents but do enjoy riding down hill?
This ride could be for you. After a shuttle ride we start at 1500m+. There
is only one way down from here and it's a fantastic, gentle ride down
using a mixture of access roads and 4x4 tracks. You get plenty of time
to take in the stunning views on your way down to the valley floor. The
old access roads we use zig zags through high country terrain and live
stock. This area has a lot of history and your local kiwi guides will
give a know ledgeable briefing of the surroundings. This is a perfect
ride for those picking up the sport and for those riders that want to
spend time checking out the fantastic scenery.

The Gravity Assisted Picnic ride includes front suspension Specialized cross country bikes. Please contact us if you would perfer the comfort of a dual suspension cross country bike. Freeride NZ provides giro open face helmets and dakine mountain bike gloves. Please contact us to find out more. We are more than happy for you to bring your own bike and equipment if i's of a high standard and its good condition
