New Zealand Mountainbike Tours

Terms and Conditions

Minor changes:

(On our part): FreerideNZ Ltd adventures are planned in advance, therefore it may occasionally be necessary to make alterations to the advertised details either before or after bookings have been confirmed, due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to do so. Most changes, if any, will be minor. No compensation will be payable for minor changes.

Cancellation:

If any member of a FreerideNZ trip decides to cancel a booking, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • ii. cancellation up to two weeks prior to departure: 75% of the adventure cost
  • iii. cancellation less than one week prior to departure: 100% of the adventure cost

While we reserve the right to apply the above charges, if you need to cancel, please tell us why—we are reasonable and if we are able to re-fill your spot, we may not need to apply the above charges.

If we significantly change or cancel your trip:

In the unlikely event that it is necessary to make a significant change to your trip before its departure, we will advise you as soon as is practicable and you will have the choice of:

  • i. accepting the changed arrangements notified to you
  • ii. accepting an alternative trip of a comparable standard
  • iii. in the case of the minimum number of clients required for a particular adventure not being reached, we may offer you a revised price on the basis of the reduced group size
  • iv. cancelling your trip altogether, in which case we will give you a full refund.

Though very unlikely, due to unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary to cancel your trip. We reserve the right to cancel your trip in special circumstances. For this reason, before paying for your flight etc. you must confirm with us that your trip has reached the minimum numbers required and is confirmed to go ahead. In all cases, we will not be liable for any consequential losses or refund to you and any direct or indirect costs, as a result of cancellation or significant changes to your booking.

Food

For both day tours and multi day trips, if you have any food allergies that you haven't previously mentioned or if you are vegetarian please let us know.

Clothing and equipment to bring

Helmets are mandatory on any FreerideNZ tour. During tours where extra protection is required (e.g downhill tour), we recommend a full face helmet, gloves, knee/shin guards and body armour are worn the entire time you are riding. You will also need riding shorts and jersey, a windproof/waterproof jacket, thermals (seasonal), sunscreen, sunglasses and sturdy footwear. For clients wishing to bring their own bike on any FreerideNZ tour please make sure your bike is mechanically sound and tuned by a professional prior to the trip.
