Terms & Conditions

We would like to cover a few points before we begin your Freeride NZ adventure. You will be riding (name of trail) and I want everyone to have fun and at the same time ride safely and in control.

The contract

This exists between the client and Freeride NZ Ltd from when the booking form and deposit is received and a confirmation dispatched. Reservations are not considered confirmed until you have received written confirmation from Freeride NZ Ltd.

Payment

For multi-day adventures the balance of final payment is due at least 3 weeks before your adventure starts. If we don't receive this, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and apply charges listed below. Single day adventures will be paid in full at least 24 hours in advance.

Minor changes

(on our part): Freeride NZ Ltd adventures are planned in advance, therefore it may occasionally be necessary to make alterations to the advertised details either before or after bookings have been confirmed, for example due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to do so. Most changes, if any, will be minor. No compensation will be payable for minor changes.

Cancellation:

If any member of a Freeride NZ Ltd adventure decides to cancel a booking, they will be required to pay the following charges:

i. a cancellation 3 weeks prior to departure: 50% of the adventure cost
ii. a cancellation 2 weeks prior to departure: 75% of the adventure cost
iii. a cancellation less than 1 week prior to departure: 100% of the adventure cost

However, while we reserve the right to apply the above charges, if you need to cancel, tell us why - we are reasonable and if we are able to re-fill your spot, we may not need to apply the above charges.

If we significantly change or cancel your adventure :

In the unlikely event that it is necessary to make a significant change to your adventure before its departure, we will advise you as soon as its practicable and you will have the choice of:

i. accepting the changed arrangements notified to you; or
ii. accepting an alternative adventure, of a comparable standard; or
iii. in the case of the minimum number of clients required for a particular adventure is not reached, we may offer you a revised price on the basis of the reduced group size; or

iv. canceling your adventure altogether, in which case we will give you a full refund.

Though very unlikely, due to unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary to cancel your adventure. We reserve the right to cancel the adventure in special circumstances. For this reason, before paying for your flight etc., you must confirm with us that your adventure has reached the minimum number required and is confirmed to go ahead. In all cases, we will not be liable for any consequential losses or refund to you and any direct or indirect costs, as a result of cancellation or significant changes to your booking

Food

If you have any food allergies that you haven't previously mentioned or if you are a vegetarian please let me know.

Waiver

You all have read, understood and signed a waiver form that will be kept for up to 36 months in our storage facility.

Clothing and Equipment to bring

Helmets are manditory and Freeride NZ recommend mountain bike full face helmets, gloves, knee/shin guards and body armour to be worn the entire time you are riding. Riding shorts and jersey, a windproof/waterproof jacket, polypropoline (seasonal), sunscreen, sunglasses, sturdy foot wear and a camera! are also recommended. Freeride NZ recommend a dual suspension mountain bike with at least 5 inches of travel, disc brakes and tyres suitable to the terrain (Any questions regarding suitability of bikes please don't hesitate to ask). Make sure your bike is tuned by a professional prior to the trip as well as inspected before each ride.

Closing

I can't stress enough to ride within your limits but at the same time have fun. Is everything clear or are there any questions?
